The Shoe Odometer: Keeping track of your
   shoe life!

The founder and owner of the company, Rick Cleary, is a serious runner with a marathon personal best of 2:44 and a long-standing high school distance running coach with many athletes competing at the state championship level.

As a coach, he had a recurring problem; most of his runners didn’t know when to replace their shoes. He knew that when runners replaced their shoes on a regular basis, they had fewer injuries. Recording shoe wear in a log seemed to be the only solution; unfortunately, his runners found the practice of keeping a log tedious. An idea came to him one day while driving home from practice. His vehicle’s odometer automatically tracked mileage; couldn’t the same concept work for shoes? Read more about the Shoe Odometer on Rick's website: www.shoeodometer.com
