About Run Rocklin
Running for Community. Racing for a Cause.
Since 2004, Run Rocklin has brought runners, families, businesses, and the Rocklin community together for a day of fitness, fun, and giving back. What began as a small community run/walk has grown into one of Rocklin’s signature events, with a mission that has remained the same: use the power of running to make a positive impact in our community.
The first Run Rocklin event was held in 2004 as a St. Patrick’s Day-themed race, benefiting the organization that helped relocate St. Mary’s Church to its current location. In its second year, the event raised funds for the Placer County Library. After two successful years, the original organizers passed the event to longtime Rocklin resident and avid runner Larry Osborne, whose passion for running and community service helped Run Rocklin continue to grow.
In 2007, the event officially became Run Rocklin, and over the years it has continued to raise funds and awareness for organizations making a difference locally and beyond. In 2009, the Matt Redding Foundation became the primary beneficiary, honoring the legacy of fallen Rocklin Police Officer Matt Redding and supporting youth leadership and safety programs.
A New Chapter: Rocklin PAL
Today, we are proud to continue that tradition of giving back with the Rocklin Police Activities League (PAL) as the primary beneficiary of Run Rocklin.
Rocklin PAL is dedicated to building positive relationships between local youth and law enforcement through athletics, education, mentorship, and leadership opportunities. Through programs and activities designed to keep kids engaged, supported, and connected, PAL helps young people develop confidence, character, and a stronger connection to their community.
When you register for Run Rocklin, become a sponsor, volunteer, or participate as a community partner, you are doing more than supporting a race—you are helping create opportunities for local youth.
Every mile matters. Every participant makes a difference. And together, we run for something bigger than the finish line.
Run Rocklin. Run for Community. Run for PAL.
